Preparándose para premiar a lo mejor del cine de acuerdo a los fans, la cadena MTV anunció las nominaciones para los MTV Movie Awards 2013 el día Martes 5 de Marzo 

Animados, éste año, por la actriz de comedia Rebel Wilson ; fueron el conductor de MTV Noticias, Josh Horowitz, la estrella de Jersey Shore, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, el actor de Teen Wolf, Vinny Guadagnino y otros los que expusieron las candidaturas en las diferentes categorías éste año

Sin más, los fans podrán votar por su favorito en la página oficial de MTV, siendo la novedad de éste año la adhesión de dos nuevas categorías: Mejor Interpretación Musical y Mejor Actuación Sin Camisa.
